Artificial intelligence is the greatest technological revolution of the 21st century.

 

Changes caused by artificial intelligence, the core of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, have already begun, and are expected to change the paradigm and way of life across all areas of industry, economy, and society beyond the technological level. Nationally, the advent of the era of artificial intelligence is both a crisis and a good opportunity for a new leap forward.

 

The most important factor that determines the success or failure of such artificial intelligence technology and the industrial and social development is excellent and creative talents. As the nation’s leading higher education institution, Seoul National University is responsible for proactively preparing for the upcoming era of artificial intelligence and nurturing the best talents.

 

As a result, we opened the Interdisciplinary Program in Artificial Intelligence(IPAI) to create the best synergy by integrating artificial intelligence education and research by bringing together the capabilities of artificial intelligence-related professors scattered in Seoul National University.

 

Seoul National University IPAI is a graduate curriculum representing Seoul National University’s artificial intelligence education and research, and will be an important foundation for driving the development of artificial intelligence in Korea as well as Seoul National University to the world level.

 

The goal of IPAI is to secure excellence through the cultivation of world-class artificial intelligence talents. In addition, it is expected that it will greatly contribute to solving the problems facing our society and humanity by pursuing the cultivation of talents who understand social values together.
